Dr. Roberto C. Andresen Eguiluz earned his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and his Ph.D in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University. He held postdoctoral appointments at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of California, Santa Barbara. In July 2019 he joined the faculty at the University of California, Merced as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. His research interests center on exploring how biomolecules in confinement regulate adhesion and lubrication.
